BRIEF POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

The purpose of this position is to support all credit functions for the Ready-Mix business – Houston Territory. Positively impact cash flow and working capital, evaluate credit history and determine credit limits. The Houston Credit Analyst shall develop and maintain external customer relationships and internal relationships with sales. This position is actively involved with the integrity of sales, compliance with corporate credit policies and lien and legal statuses. The Credit Analyst must be an active problem solver with ability to effectively perform accurate risk assessment and drive improvement process utilizing lean concepts to help meet company objectives. Specifically: Evaluate credit history and determine credit limits up to 50K. Manage delinquent account collection of assigned portfolio. Document collection activities and recommend accounts for 3rd party collections. Ensure branch office cooperation with other departments, to maximize efficiency within the company. Create high level of professionalism measured by our level of customer satisfaction and relationships with other locations.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years in a credit decision making capacity up to Low 5 figures. Will consider more experienced candidates who do not meet the education requirement
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the construction industry; NOI, collections, liens, and bond claims
  • Education: BBA degree preferred

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 

Credit and financial analysis, contracts or business law course work, ability to independently evaluate and make consistent, quality credit decisions, experience supervising and managing people. Knowledge of industry specific lien and legal requirements to maximize collections

Working Conditions

 

This position is sitting at a desk and in an office environment 90% of the time and quarterly travel to Houston.
