General purpose of the job
To provide technical support for the Argos US business unit operations focused on planning and optimizing quarry operations, exploration and identification of key raw material sources, and other corporate projects to ensure that defined goals of the business operations are achieved and sustained.
Individual accountabilities
- Holistic understanding and technical support for all US quarry operations aimed at a safe operation that meets environmental requirements, respects long and medium term mine strategy, delivers customer requirements, and drives efficient and low cost mining operations.
- Locate and secure new raw materials
- Initiate, support and implement corporate mining and raw material initiatives.
- Follow and provide leadership in all safe work rules and practices.
- Communicate any safety, environmental, or operational concerns to management.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for the quarry mining and reclamation.
Education
Education Major:Mining or Geological Engineering
Technical knowledge and certifications
Surpac, GPS, and AutoCAD.
Area of experience
Minimum 4 years engineering; geological exploration of resources
Travel when required for projects and services (25% - 40%)
Annual Salary Range from $67,299 to $93,472
