Brief Position Description

 

The purpose of the position is to provide financial analysis and accounting support for the Concrete Business Unit.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Accounting support related duties

  • Balance Sheet Account reconciliations
  • Month End Close – Emphasis on Inventory Management
  • Calculate and post monthly vendor rebates
  • Credit Card expense review and accrual posting
  • Other misc. accounting requests as assigned

 

Financial Analysis related duties

  • Preparation of monthly reporting package (KPI’s, Metrics, Trends)
  • Contribution and EBITDA variance analysis
  • Forecasting of financial statements
  • Analysis on continuous improvement methodologies
  • Plant Profitability tracking
  • Assist in annual budget process
  • Other misc. analytical requests as assigned

 

 

Mandatory Skills

 

  • Must be able to work extended hours during close period (first 4-5 days of eachmonth)
  • Self-starter with initiative
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – must be willing to verbally communicate with operations on a regular basis
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional EXCEL skills

 

 

Education

 

  • Undergraduate in Finance or Accounting

 

 

Areas of experience

 

  • Manufacturing Industry experience a plus, must be able to work extended hours during close period (first 4-5 days of each month)
  • Self-starter with initiative
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – must be willing to verbally communicate with operations on a regular basis
  • Good organizational and time management skills
