General purpose of the job

Responsible for providing strategic legal advisory and oversee all litigation matters and disputes related to the company's business and operations.  Also will provide and manage legal support to HR with regard to all labor and employment related matters.  This position will report directly to the General Counsel USA.

Individual accountabilities

  1. Provide high quality legal advice and counsel in a timely fashion to senior management and business partners on litigation matters and disputes relating to company’s business and operations.
  2. Oversee and manage outside counsel in various dispute proceedings, including federal and state litigation matters and administrative proceedings.
  3. Provide legal support to Human Resources regarding employment and labor-related matters, which may include employee relations issues, policy development and compliance.
  4. Actively participate in a collaborative manner in cross-functional business teams to identify, evaluate and resolve complex business issues and risks.
  5. Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies generally applicable to the company’s business and operations.
  6. Provide compliance training to business team members as required.
  7. Support the General Counsel USA and senior management in the development of the overall legal strategy for the company’s business and operations.
  8. Provide legal advice in other legal projects assigned by the General Counsel USA.
  9. Manage various legal and compliance projects, research, policy drafting, and other assigned duties
  10. Assist in contract audit, management, and implementation of internal tracking processes.


  • Choose Level: PHD or Advanced Professional Degree
  • Education Major: Juris Doctorate from highly regarded University

Technical knowledge and certifications

  • Relevant legal experience
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Innovative and self-motivated
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to identify, evaluate and resolve legal issues with the context of the business strategy and objectives;
  • Demonstrated ability to handle difficult issues in a professional and proactive manner and to prioritize and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced work environment; 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required; and 
  • Good standing in a state bar.
  • Strong analytical mindset and business acumen, coupled with a strong litigation and/or employment law background.
